GURU: the one who "dispells darkness of ignorance"

The year was 1972.

A simple householder was sleeping peacefully after lulling his three little daughters to sleep.
One was sleeping on his chest and the other two flanked him on either sides.

A rustic place drenched in greenery and innocence, Vedurupaka has been one of the many villages where age old traditions still garner respect and are devoutly followed.

In this peaceful setting, on the night of August 18th, the father of the three daughters, was awakened from his sleep by a blast of divine radiance at 12:42 am.

His eyes beheld the resplendent form of Durga devi mounted on tiger. The ensuing conversation between them resulted in the transformation of a man to God.

Manthramoolam Midam Jagath. The beejakshara manthra bestowed up on him by the goddess has been repeating eversince, with every breath he takes.
